Debut album from this Russian / American collaboration between two amazing black metal musicians. Elegy Records picked this up after two previous CD pressings (one Russian and the other released by Elegy Records allies Pagan Fury Records in the United States, which is still available now) For now, this is available as a digital release only here on the Elegy Records shop. Later in 2026 (autumn, most likely) Elegy will do a nice multi-panel digipak CD and an LP edition of this soon-to-be-classic album.

ER034 - 2011 Connecticut-based black metal band Bitter Peace's debut album, "Glorificus Vis". Violent, elitist black metal with a heavy influence from 90's Swedish black metal. Similar to "Legion-era" Marduk, early Funeral Mist and Triumphator.

This was the project of Lance Gifford, who was known in the black metal tape trading circles worldwide since (at least) the early 1990's and was also the creator / writer for the "Ultima Comporatio" zine. Anyone reading this that might have any issues of Ultima Comporatio - PLEASE contact Gustavo / Elegy Records and we will pay you for scans or the physical magazine(s) themselves!

Sadly, Lance committed suicide in the late 2010's after becoming severely addicted to medication following an accident and decided he'd rather exit this world than live as a junkie. Extremely sad situation and story, but we at Elegy respect his honor and self determination about who he was in this realm.

ER17 - 2003 Debut album from early USBM titans, Ibex Throne. (RIP!) One of the only black metal bands to ever make a name for themselves out of the state of Utah, this Salt Lake City based band was notorious for violence and chaos in real life and that is clearly received and presented via their music as a conduit.

Members went on to be involved in (also excellent band) Iconoclast Contra and more.

Any physical reissues we may produce will include a free digital download of the album.

ER62 - 2018 Recorded in 1997 and was delivered to Elegy Records in 1998, but (at the request of the artist) the album was shelved at that time to make way for the 1999 Judas Iscariot magnum opus, "Heaven In Flames".

This release sat (on a DAT master tape) in the safe at the Elegy Records HQ in Clifton, NJ under the guard of our original owner (and spiritual mentor to this day) Rob D.

In 2018, after 20 years of being whispered about in elitist black metal circles, the "unreleased Judas album", "An Ancient Starry Sky", was finally unleased and was the FINAL RELEASE of the original incarnation of Elegy Records. 1,000 digipak CDs were produced, it sold out quickly and the label closed shortly thereafter.

"An Ancient Starry Sky" is available digitally and we've pressed up a limited (200 copies!) digipak CD (with updated art) for the 2026 relaunch of the label. This version also includes a free digital download.
